1) Before you leave home, check with your healthcare provider, by phone, to see if any treatment, including the steam bath, may be contra-indicated. We can not decide this for you as we are not able to diagnose or prescribe.
2) Arrive 15 minutes early to begin relaxing with us. Enjoy a cup of tea or water and take in the view of Saratoga Passage while filling out our health intake form.
3) Wear comfortable easy-to-slip-on-and-off clothing. We are on the often windy beach level of the inn, so a jacket, sweatshirt, sweater or shawl may be needed to stay warm when you depart the spa.
4) Let our staff know right away if you are uncomfortable in any way. We will respond to the utmost of our abilities.
5) If you have chosen the steam bath we provide you with a comfortable spa robe, slippers, and plenty of towels. There is a shower for your use before or after your treatments.
6) All full body treatments (massage/wraps/body polish) can be done at your comfort level regarding your choice to wear underpants or not. We use standard draping techniques so that you will be modestly covered and warm at all times. If you have further questions, please talk with your therapist. For facials, you will be given a terry wrap and warm socks. we recommend you leave your underpants on.
7) All treatment tables in the massage rooms have an added layer of padding and are covered with an electric warming pad, a set of sheets, and a blanket. We use bolsters, wedges, small, standard and body length pillows to support you.
8) Tips are not included in the price per service. 18 -20 percent is the standard in the spa industry. If you feel the therapist did an excellent job at meeting your requests, we have small envelopes for cash tips at the front desk. You can add a tip to a credit card or inn room charge or a personal check.
9) Check with our front desk staff for any discounts or current sales you might benefit from on the day of your appointment.
Ask about our Loyality card program . You can earn $50 to $100 credit off once you spend $500 to $1000 over time.
10) If you were given a gift card be sure to bring it with you when you come in for your appointment. We sell our own cards at the spa and have an instant print gift card on our web site. We also accept Spa Finders and Spa Wish cards.
One more thing. If you choose to trust us with your email on the health form, we will send you a thank you and comment opportunity by email. We want any feedback that you may want to share with us.
